This book is written by two authors Trevor James and TJ Holowaychuk. Trevor James is a Drupal developer and web-designer. He has been developing sites for more than 13 years. Drupal began to be intensively used more than two years ago. Mostly it has focused on the development of portals for higher education establishments. The book covers areas such as optimization, productivity and the use of CCK, Views and Panels for creating user-interfaces and for tracking and maintaining sites with large amounts of content.

Happy birthday Drupal

Today, january 15 2010, our beloved program, our most flexible friend, reached 9 years!
Exactly nine years ago drupal version 1.0.0 was created.
Over nine years, it slowly, but faithfully, current trends notwithstanding, developed and became stronger. Only recently we renewed our sites to drupal 5 and looked forward to the alpha-version of drupal 6, no sooner had it appeared when already ‘number 7’ was being released.

"Web site Maintenance" is a modern concept. Usually, at the slightest mention of support owners of Internet sites are dismissive, claiming: "We are able to support ourselves." But in our experience by refusing support they condemn their own Internet project to, at minimum, a lifeless existence, and at worst a final failure.

There was the great time for offline commerce when promotional products had a great power, influence and multitude; besides they had no competition the online market that has spread dramatically so far. Currently the role of competitor is acted by the Internet (online ads, viral advertising, banners and links etc.). As a rule promotional products are frequently imprinted with a company's name, logo, motto or message. Both online advertising and promotional products have the goal to attract people who buy the products you want to sale.

Sometimes creating a new blog I wonder whether it’s worth for reader audience, if people coming to my blog get interesting and useful data. You know that the Internet itself frequently seems to be a place filled of foolish trash and junk. It’s so easy to make a blog and fill it with everything you want. What’s more putting Ad Sense, for example, to the newly made blog means potential revenue and getting extra money. The employment level in the Internet world is unbounded.
